Description: The 1920s was the golden age of illustration and so many of my very favourite picture book illustrators produced work in this period. The Little Mermaid is my tribute to this era and the classic Hans Christian Andersen tale.

Description: This design is inspired by the traditional Mexican Tree of Life folk art sculptures. They traditionally depict scenes of Adam and Eve and the Garden of Eden with the serpent and apple, but modern versions feature all types of symbols. This Tree of Life features Mother Nature and nature’s children, animals and fruit symbolising life and abundance, serpents which are danger, and skeletons representing the death and the afterlife.
