Description: The image of the stacked rocks conveys the need to balance “development,” “maintenance,” and the phrase “I promise to pay the bearer on demand” in the same visual space. This has led to a reflection on existence, and it loss, and the things that have been forgotten in various fields of development. The duplicated images are used to convey the stories and ideals of each society. These duplications represent metaphors, including both visual imagery and allegory. Examples of such metaphors include animal imagery, natural object, and landscape scenes.
