Description: I love Navajo blankets (I have two in my home that I got from my grandpa). I also love the southwest art motif of the noble Indian staring off into the distance, wrapped in one of those blankets (although it’s at the high risk of over-romanticizing an entire people-group). So, I made painting with a space cowgirl wearing a blanket. Maybe we'll all be wearing space helmets in the future when the air isn't fit to breath and the landscape is technicolor.

Description: This is "Sister Superior" according to my little brother, Ryan Montoya, whose photo I used as a reference. I named it "Temple Spire" so I guess whoever originally named it also felt it held spiritual weight. Whatever it's called, it's a gorgeous tower and I loved painting it! Great for practice painting rocks.
