Description: In the vast catalogue of creatures granted the honorific ‘snow’—snow owls, snow leopards, snow hares—none is quite as elusive as the Snow Giraffe. Little is known about this majestic winter wanderer: Where does it find its endless supply of scarves? Who crafted its impeccably sturdy boots? No one can say for certain. But those lucky enough to glimpse one drifting through a quiet, frozen forest agree—it’s among the great wonders of the animal kingdom.
Description: This design is a re-rendering of 1887 illustration from a book entitled “Phallic worship : an outline of the worship of the generative organs, as being, or as representing, the Divine Creator, with suggestions as to the influence of the phallic idea on religious creeds, ceremonies, customs and symbolism, past and present” (now that’s a book title!)
