Description: Completing the trio of mermaids from our 3 vast oceans, this new mermaid painting takes inspiration from the Arctic ocean and sea life in that part of the globe. A colorful mother Mermaid with a rich verdant green-colored tail rests with her young lovely daughter mermaid on an ice sheet set in the cold frozen arctic landscape. Not minding the freezing temperatures, baby harp seals gather round and one little harp seal is snuggled by the young mermaid. To add interest, a couple of friendly Beluga whales join in this frozen scene. The theme of this painting is entitled, "Arctica". Description: My most recent angel art from a custom request order of a beautiful Mother holding her sleeping baby cherub with seven butterflies hovering above her, and with a toddler girl touching the sleeping angel baby. She and her child kneel on a bed of lovely purple Morning Glory flowers. Original was done in 12 x16 watercolor artboard and has been sold. I have entitled this painting, "My Cherub, My Love".
Description: This painting was inspired by hummingbirds that built a nest on our wind chime last year around spring. I just think it's so unique how these birds built their tiny nest on a quite small wind chime and kept that nest sturdy and solid. It was a wonderful way to welcome spring with these young baby hummingbirds that hatched and took flight just after a few days. My family and I saw them perch on the edge of their nest and take their first few wing flaps which in no time took them high-up and quickly airborne to join their Mom to gather nectar. The painting is named, "Bit O' Luck" , perfect for St Patrick's Day and hopefully bring some luck of the Irish!
