A gnarled tree reaches to the sky, its first leaves wakening. Vines drape across the branches and flowers carpet the ground below. Original was drawn in India ink with watercolor wash on Bristol paper.
This began as an ink drawing for one of the various October drawing challenges for the words "coffee" and "cozy." I combined them into one image because, coffee IS my cozy place.

We are in the beginning of the sixth mass extinction event. The AMOC is collapsing. Desertification has begun to claim farmlands and will not stop. Weather grows increasingly unpredictable, violent, and extreme. The habitable areas of the planet are beginning to shrink and will continue until conditions are no longer compatible with human life. Unless we all take drastic, radical action. Our time is running out.
