Heavy Metal and art have been the two biggest influences and inspirations in Defame's life. To pay homage to some of the most iconic bands of the 80's metal era Defame has created an illustration full of symbolism tributing bands such as Judas Priest, Sabbath, Megadeth, and Iron Maiden!

Inspired by one of my favorite Manga horror artists, the great Junji Ito.

Thrash metal has been ushered in by some of the raddest metal bands like...SLAYER! Defame created an illustration to pay homage to this genre using symbology tributing bands such as Metallica, and Slayer.

Doom metal is in Defame's opinion of of the most interesting genres of metal. Doom metal came about in the 70s with Black Sabbath, its seen amazing acts like Candlemass, and Saint Vitus. The genre also holds stoner rock and sludge metal in it's family. This is my tribute to DOOM.

Death Metal is the third design in Defame's Metal Genre series. Death metal has given us bands like Grave, Death, Napalm Death, and so many others. The godfathers of this genre can be attributed to Venom and Motorhead!

Black Metal has seen some extremely amazing and unforgettable acts, such as Mayhem, Darkthrone, Bathory, Celtic Frost , Marduk , Gorgoroth, and the list goes on and on. This is Defame's homage to the Black metal genre.
