Description: This Luchador design is from a children’s book I had the honor of illustrating. The book is part of a series called ‘Learning with Lucha’ by Carlos Espada. The holiday version started out as a Christmas card design, and after some tweaking, we thought it would be a fun t-shirt design. And besides that, who wouldn’t want to be visited by ‘Lucha Claus’? Just make sure you leave him a healthy serving of milk and cookies.

The original thought behind this idea was of a Luchador that throws on a set of headphones, blasting tunes to get pumped up for a match. And then I thought, wouldn’t it be great if the same wrestler, after winning the match, celebrates by heading to the local club where he's known as a legendary DJ, filling the air with beats that keep the celebration going until dawn. Description: Soul vinyl record - Growing up in the 70s and 80s I loved collecting and listening to vinyl, eventually amassing a collection of about 1800 albums. No musical genre was off limits, including rock, funk, soul, alternative, and anything else I could get my hands in. This ‘Soul’ design reminds me of spinning my favorite vinyl on a hot California summer day. As much as I listen to and appreciate modern technology and digital streaming, there’s nothing like the sound of a vinyl record blasting through a set of pair speakers.
