A Volvo 850 T5-R and a single line. Sweden. Home to Koenigsegg and IKEA. Also home to a manufacturer who produce some of the safest road cars in the world – Volvo. The 850 became a cult classic in the mid 1990's in part due to Volvo participating in the British Touring Car Championship with the estate version. A simple design but one that took a while to get the desired result. Forth Rail and a single line. The Forth Rail Bridge is one of the most recognisable man made structures in Scotland, possibly even the world. It has been a permanent fixture over the Firth of Forth for over 120 years and is still in use. This single line piece has been in the pipeline for quite a while. The scale and detail required proved difficult and can be seen in the lesser quality of some of the lines. However, it encapsulates the spirit of the Single Line collection. Showing the complexity in objects and structures that on the outside might seem simple. The design you see is the 23rd attempt to get it right. The J-Turn. A manoeuvre most commonly associated with Hollywood or 70's style cop shows. Reverse the car at speed, give the steering a sharp turn, let the front slide round, put it in first and away you go.
