Description: If there's a case too mysterious, or seemingly impossible to crack, Interpol turns it over to Department S! Department S was a late 60s British Spy-Fi/ adventure series dealing with cases like empty passenger planes that seemingly landed themselves, or amnesia rays and the like. It ran for 28 episodes from '69 - '70. The main cast featured three operatives each week, the most memorable being author/adventurer Jason King (played by Peter Wyngarde), who novelized his adventures, as his alter ego, Mark Caine. The design is my reproduction of the show's logo, NOT a screen grab.
Description: Many a '70s & '80s Monster Kid discovered VOYAGE INTO SPACE, when it aired on the NY Tristate Area's Ch 7 4:30 Movie, during one of their MONSTER WEEKS! The story of a kid named Johnny Sokko, who controlled a giant, flying robot, helping a gov't agency battle invaders from space! Ah, memories! At any rate, this design is based on ACTUAL TV Guide adverts during the theme weeks! Not a scan or AI, but completely rendered by Yours Truly! Enjoy!
Description: Ahh, Thanksgiving in 1970s NY. We woke up, watched the Macy's parade, surrounded by the sounds of prepping dinner, followed by March of the Wooden Soldiers on CH 11 PIX, and then the MAIN event - The WOR-TV Ch 9 Holiday Film Festival!! It meant King Kong movies on Thursday - the OG Mighty Joe Young , King Kong, & topped off by Son of Kong! Then on Friday (before it was called Back Friday), since we were off from school, we got GODZILLA movies, some years more than others. In 1977, we enjoyed King Kong Escapes, King Kong vs Godzilla, & Godzilla vs the Smog Monster! This design is based on an ACTUAL TV Guide advert, though the visuals are from '76 & the schedual is from '77! Happy Thanksgiving!
Description: Ever wish you could get a set of "magic jammies" from some aliens that would give you superpowers? Well, here's the next best thing - a Ralph Hinckley shirt of your very own, complete with insignia. The long sleeve tee would be PERFECT to use in a Ralph cosplay (providing you have the other elements)! This design only comes on red items, including Classic Tees, Hats, pillows and more! DISCLAIMER: This shirt will NOT let you fly, do not attempt.
Description: Gigantor, the Space-Age Robot! He's at your command! In glorious Black & White, here's the progenitor of the Giant Robot genre, Gigantor (or as he's known in Japan, Tetsjujin 28), the star of one of the first Anime series to come to the USA, way back in the 60s! This rendering is in the style & color scheme of the old B&W cartoon! THIS version is a take on the opening titles, as they appeared in Japan, bearing a recreation of the title.
Description: One of my favorite comics of all time was MAGE. The Hero's T-Shirt was a white lightning bolt, inspired by the Shazam symbol. In the comic, he had dozens made, because they'd invariably get destroyed during his fights against ancient monsters. I myself had several of them, so I could wear it multiple days. Now YOU can, too (Albeit that it may be a limited time offering)!
Description: Open Channel D! Flash back to the swingin' 60s with the coolest spies from U.N.C.L.E.!! THIS time, we focus on the feminine mystique of one April Dancer, the main character of the spinoff series, The GIRL from UNCLE! Note - this is a new, re-creation of the symbol, not a 'factory print'.
Description: For fans of MHA, if you want to ROCK a musical look, why not pick this Class A Band design! It comes in red and the expected orange (thanks limited default colors!) Stickers, magnets, pillows & totes come in the orange color. Now YOU can be a "HERO TOO"! Suitable for cosplay, as a few of my other Anime - inspired designs!
