Description: There's a legend about the Yellow River in China. A Koi fish undertook the perilous journey to swim up the river. Eventually, the fish came to a waterfall. It took many tries, but the fish eventually managed to swim up the waterfall. As soon as it did, the fish was transformed into a great golden dragon. This is my take on that legend
Description: Mythology has always been a big interest to me, particularly Japanese mythology. The stories and creatures surrounding the subject never cease to capture my imagination. Here we have the Yamata no Orochi, or 8-Headed Serpent. The tribal dragon is something I designed as a tattoo, while the kanji surrounding the beast represents Orochi's eight different heads, which has a different element. Starting at the top, going clockwise, the kanji translates to: Light, Water, Wind, Thunder, Darkness, Poison, Earth and Fire.
