Description: A Water Landing At Robbie’s, from my 8”x 10” watercolor painting. I did this painting from a photograph I took while sitting in an Adirondack chair, facing the water, and relaxing at Robbie’s in Islamorada, Florida. Though I started drawing the image while still at Robbie’s, the vast majority of the painting (and the finishing of it) was done while I was smack in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean between America and Europe and cruising aboard the Liberty Of The Seas of the Royal Caribbean cruise line.

Description: From my original watercolor painting of the same title. This cardinal painting was commissioned as a continual commemoration of the life and love connection of two people. The cardinal is often used as a symbolic bird representing positivity amidst the troubles people experience in life. It is also a key figure in various folk and spiritual beliefs. For example it is a widely held belief that a sighting of a cardinal represents a sign of a visit from a loved one who has passed. While nothing is inherently supernatural within this image, the original was painted to serve as a shrine and memorial to the strong bond of love between two people.
Description: A public domain 1843 John Leech illustration of Scrooge on which I have superimposed a graphic one of my favorite quotes from A Christmas Carol. Though I always think of Scrooge as saying, "Are there no work houses?", I think the order of those words are actually spoken by the Ghost of Christmas Present as he (essentially) threw the words in Scrooges face (so to speak), to which Scrooge replies, "You use my words against me."
Description: From my original ink and watercolor on watercolor paper work titled Beach Bird. When I go to the beach, no matter where in the world that beach is, I'm always fascinated by the birds there. Growing up in central Indiana I didn't get much exposure to the "beach" varieties of birds so now when I happen upon them, I can't stop observing them. I find the lines made by their long necks and legs really interesting. This feathered friend strolled past me as I was chilling on a Sanibel causeway beach once upon a time... before hurricane Ian took that beach away.
Description: From my original acrylic on canvas painting. It's said daisies symbolize innocence and purity. One can easily see from this image how that might be an accurate interpretation of a daisy. It might also be said that this cup of daisies could brighten the mood of any environment in one might choose to sip from it. Great for gifting to ones self or others.

Description: While staying in London and visiting the Tower of London, I became fascinated with the ravens that live there. There is a legend that says it would be a bad omen for the kingdom if the ravens ever left the tower. See? Fascinating. This image is a detail from a watercolor I painted from a photo I took of one of those ravens.

Description: Once as I was relaxing on a beach close to the water in southwest Florida this beach bird slowly, and confidently, strolled by. This close encounter of the feathered kind inspired me to do an ink and watercolor painting... which I have now made available on this coffee mug. Now... start your day, or any hour of your day, with the seemingly carefree ease mindset exhibited by a beach bird on a stroll.
Description: If there is something I've learned during my many years of being married to an avid reader, it's don't disturb a reader when they're in a good part of their book. More importantly never, EVER, except in the cases of the most dire of circumstances (and even THEN proceed with utmost caution) disturb a reader who is in the last chapter of their book. Just sayin'.
Description: Arrogant Puppy. Reproduced from my original oil on plywood, 6"x 6", painting from 2013. This little puppy is ready to leave the litter and is looking for a good home. Warm and friendly, this puppy is the perfect companion for your start of the day coffee as well as a nice cup of tea or hot chocolate after a long day. Just look into those beautiful beagle eyes. It's easy to see this puppy is ready to brighten the home of its new owner. :-)
Description: While I was enjoying the nightly sunset celebration at Mallory Square one evening in 2024, I saw this busker and thought he would make a good painting subject. Consequently, created this watercolor and ink of him. Now, no matter where a person is located, they can enjoy a little bit of what was happening on Mallory Square that evening.
