Mutual Aid is our core belief. We wanted to create a design that would help people spread the word -- we can all have what we need; we just need to help each other.

Some people think "Let's get this bread" represents the daily grind. But it originated with the French Revolution. On July 14, 1789 (Bastille Day), French workers and common people chanted, “Allons chercher ce pain” -- “let us go get this bread." For us, this phrase means the philosophy of Mutual Aid -- that if we all help each other and work together, no one has to starve. We've pictured anarchist philosopher Peter Kroptkin saying this phrase.

One of our favorite designs is an Arts and Crafts engraving for the Socialist League, which uses the slogan "Educate, Agitate, Organize." We believe in education and hope that knowledge inspires positive change.

Ralph Waldo Emerson was a great anarchist thinker. We've combined one of his quotes with the textile patterns of William Morris, another great American anarchist. We hope you find our illustration beautiful and thought-provoking.
