Description: The Basmala (Arabic: بسملة basmalah), also known by its incipit Bismillāh (Arabic: بِاسم الله, “In the name of God”)1, is the Islamic phrase bi-smi llāhi r-raḥmāni r-raḥīm بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ “In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful”. It is also commonly used by Arab Christians, and other non-Muslim speakers of the Arabic language. The phrase has three basic parts: al-, the definite article, "the". ḥamdu, literally meaning "praise", "commendation".1 li-llāh(i), preposition + noun Allāh. Li- ...

The size, light and shadow as well as the blending of the two ends of colour spectrum is used to distinguish between these multitudes of attributes. The foreground is comprised of an 'Alif' (the first of the 29 letters of the Arabic Alphabet), who's shape resembles that of the numeral 1 and according to Arabic numerology also has the value of 1. It is said to take on the archetypal value of the w...
