A carriage awaits it's passengers adjacent to the Mdina Main Gate, Malta. Mdina is known as Malta's silent city - when visiting, there is almost a quiet understanding to be as silent as possible within the walls. Cars are not allowed within the walls; except for a few residents with a special license and emergency services.

The Severn Bridge majestically stretches over the River Severn, connecting Wales and England in a fixed link. Its imposing beam and suspension design evoke a sense of strength and resilience against the water's current. The bridge stands tall amidst the clouds, offering an awe-inspiring outdoor view.

Tucked away in the Borrowdale Valley lies an old picturesque watermill. It was at one point considered a bit of a Lake District secret; hidden away from the nearby crowds in Keswick. At the time I took the photo, the river was a raging torrent, which meant I could not get as close as originally hoped!

Just a short stroll and high above the Lake District town of Ambleside sits a number of picturesque waterfalls and cascades close to Stockghyll Force, here looking more like the Amazon Rainforest than Cumbria

Dating back to the 17th century, this unique building stands over Stock Beck in the middle of Ambleside. Bridge house has had many practical uses, include being used as a counting house for the mills of Rattle Ghyll, a tea-room, a weaving shop, a cobbler's, a chair maker's and, at one time, a home to a family of eight!

Just a short stroll and high above the Lake District town of Ambleside sits a number of picturesque waterfalls and cascades close to Stockghyll Force.

The tiny quaint Victorian church of St Margaret is found within the grounds of Low Wray Castle not far from the eastern shore of Lake Windermere. The church is barely visible from the castle driveway in summer, hidden by trees and foliage but can be seen from the road as you pass the lodge and gatehouse.
