Description: This one is dedicated to all those strong fearless females making their way in the world. Our adorable farm logo designed by artist Ely Wick! She bright to life the determined female hummingbird I actually shared a winter with. The rare hummingbird had me getting up before dawn to change the syrup feeders that froze overnight. That April, “Hummergirl” left for her breeding territory somewhere in Canada, as Rufous Hummingbirds do. The same day, I got a call from the Farm Service that my mortgage was available to purchase the farm I was waiting for. Today, the farm hosts as many as 20 Ruby Throated Hummingbirds a year, as well as hundreds of butterflies, bees, bugs, and lots of birds and wildlife. You can find more on our Instagram.
Description: Actually its not a dream -if you plant it they will come! A collage of our most commonly seen butterflies at Green Bird Farms, with a big, fat carpenter bee to round things out! The orange cosmos in the photos can be purchased as seeds on our online stores that carry organic plant merchandise.
Description: Love tomatoes! Wear the love proudly! We’ve grown the perfect organic, biodynamic, sustainable heart heirloom tomato for you! We always end up with a few perfect heart shaped tomatoes on the farm every season. They are too pretty to eat without documenting and keeping them forever in the photo realm!
Description: We all have a cool “old” person we adore for their gusto for life. Ours was Gram! She was a great farm mentor, but beyond that, she lived life everyday like she was diving into a cheeseburger! We remember our super cool Gram from all her funny adventure photos. We hoping this image of her eating with gusto will remind you to enjoy the simple pleasures, and dive into life (and food) like you don’t care if anyone is watching!
Description: We love pollinators! We know you do too! And the little skipper butterflies love the wildflowers we allow to grow everywhere on the farm. Skippers are friendly, delightful beings and we hope you love wearing them as much as we love hosting them! Don’t forget-use these cuties to spark conversation and interest in planting for butterflies and bees! Thanks!
Description: I’m jelly. Are you jelly? Every year we make literal gallons of jelly here on the organic farm! This little jar is beautyberry jelly, a deliciously different southern treat! Show the world you are jelly, or that you make jelly, or both! Have fun and wear proudly as a jelly maker or jelly be-er!
