The story behind this shows a half automaton and half-human figure being sustained by a boom box and cell phone. Her heart is suspended by a wire outside of her body with gears turning in the gaping hole in her chest. Electricity is running through the electric wires which are the only things giving her life which is a give away to her vacant expression.
When the only thing that sustains us spiritually, physically, and emotionally, does not possess emotions or a heart of its own, what is left but a vacant shell? We are no longer human, but just as mechanical as the devices we possess and obsess over...our idols... leaving God out of the picture.

After working on this off and on for the past two months, my painting is finally complete! Swipe right to see it.
The smaller figure is walking with a cell phone not aware of the chaos in the background. A large seraph in the back is shielding him from fiery darts and destruction. It's meant to show that people tend to be oblivious of not only physical surroundings but spiritual warfare going on around us. Technology disconnects each one of us instead of connects.
What is your interpretation?
Title: "Spiritual Disconnect"
Medium: Acrylic
Size: 16" x 20"
The story behind it is meant to depict forgiveness. When we pray, our internal weights lighten even amidst the storms that are in our hearts and minds.
Like the freedom and peace that butterflies show in flight or when just fluttering contently in place on a flower, that is how the nature of our hearts should be. Forgiveness is what God expects of us not only towards others but for ourselves. It is meant to spiritually free us to fly…
What is forgiveness to you? What is your picture of forgiveness?

I felt inspired and wanted to paint a small owl for this piece. Barn owls are one of my absolute favorite birds so it was only fitting to include one in this painting. I hope you enjoy my products just as much as I enjoyed creating them.

I wanted to do a different take on my paintings for October and do a whimsical yet spooky approach to them hence the skeletal creatures.
I hope you enjoy my products just as much as I enjoyed creating them!
I took a bit of a whimsical approach to my painting. Mushrooms have beautiful vibrant colors in real life so I wanted to capture that in this piece.

There is a meaning behind this piece that I hope resonates with you in different ways. To put it simply, I painted hands holding a baby bird. Not just any hands but God's hands. I painted this to convey a deeper feeling and root of what love entails.

I drew this piece while out with my husband getting ramen at a very artsy Ramen Shop called Hot Joy in Southtown which is a fairly large art district of San Antonio, Texas. The restaurant had these gorgeous lamps above and around our table that I found very inspiring to paint. The ramen, by the way, is amazing. If you are in the area, check the place out. You will not be disappointed! My original piece was created with gouache paints on mixed media paper. The size is 11" x 14".

For this piece, I was going for a mixture of cyberpunk and dystopian theme. The woman is shown to be in a desert walking into the unknown. This original piece was created with watercolors and the size is 11" x 14".
This painting is intended to convey a giant standing and blocking two paths in a forest that a person or child must face and choose. The meaning behind it is facing our giants with the title of my painting being “Fighting Giants.” The child symbolizes humanity, in general, becoming vulnerable like a child in the face of fear or adversity hence the giant. Two blocked paths refer to which is the right road a person needs to take.

I created a bit of an illustrative and fantasy style painting with a mixture of icy blue and incinerating red flames kindling. It is my take and visual of the Bible verse Isaiah 43:2 where God specifies that we will walk through fire and not be burned. He is there for us through our struggles.
