Description: See also Earth Carpet 1. This is an acrylic painting. I took traditional carpet patterns and deconstructed them and then reconstructed them in a different arrangement. I did them in earth tones and mineral ore tones and also colours that represented the colour of plants that grow in the earth. Once finished I could not decide which way up I liked the painting to be (and neither could my partner) so I have decided to put it up both ways.

Description: Last year I didn't post Xmas stuff in time for Xmas so this year I've been working hard at getting Xmas prints done early (so if you are planning Xmas in July....) well in advance of Xmas! This card was produced along with a number of others using a lino cut. The prints were hand pulled and then I digitally added the text.
Description: This is a section of a watercolour painting I did of an old pioneer cottage at Kiata, Victoria, Australia. The cottage was made of wood and mud daub, was sagging badly and the glass was gone from the windows. It belonged to a distant relative. I have placed an old photo of my cat Monty in the window - just because I thought it needed a cat - Monty passed away years ago and this is a little tribute to his memory.
Description: Tea for Two is an abstract work painted in acrylic and black pen. Firstly a tea party was drawn and then completely deconstructed. Pieces of the work were then reconstructed into a different abstract design. Next lines were drawn choosing only certain sections of the design and other lines were removed. Finally the piece was painted with a limited palette of bright acrylic colours followed by detail in black pen.

It was printed using a gelatine plate and flow acrylics. If you want to purchase the set of two, the other print from the pair is at Native Grasslands 2B Acrylic Monoprint.
Description: I bought a new white ink pen and took it to my art group this morning. Used it to draw shapes on a monoprint background I had previously printed - this was the result of just letting my brain chill out for a bit. Thought it might look interesting on some of the home ware products.
