It is known as the ‘science of eight limbs’ as it combines strikes from fists, elbows, knees and shins. Thai boxing can be traced back to the 18th century, when the Burmese captured the Siamese warrior, Nai Khanomtom, and gave him a chance to fight for his freedom. Nai Khanomtom Knocked out 10 Burmese contenders, and was released. Shortly after, Siamese boxing, later known as Muay Thai, became a national sport.
Description: ‘Don’t Think, Feel’ portrays a manga version of the famous movie star, Bruce Lee, wearing the outfit he wore in the opening scenes of the movie ‘Enter The Dragon’. Lee, who founded the hybrid martial arts system, Jeet Kune Do, is considered to be the most influential martial artist of the 20th century. The quote ‘Don’t Think, Feel’ is well known amongst Lee fans.
Description: The Haka Dance is a traditional war dance by the Maori people of New Zealand. Their national rugby team, the All Blacks perform it before games. The Haka is comprised of highly charged dramatic movements and gestures. One of the gestures, sticking their tongues out, symbolizes eating their enemies.
