Bill Cosby Radio Program 1968 T-Shirt
Main Tag:

Description: In 1968, a young comedian by the name of Bill Cosby began his long career with a syndicated radio series called “The Bill Cosby Radio Program.” Over 350 of the daily 5-minute comedy inserts were produced by Frank Buxton (who also doubled as the announcer and Bill’s “straight man”) and syndicated to over 200 teen-oriented (top 40) radio stations all over America on LP record. Bill and Frank improvised each episode, with sound effects provided by Jack Benny’s sound man, Gene Twombly. Recordings of the Bill Cosby Radio Program are extremely hard to find, as the LPs were likely considered by radio stations to be disposable. This design features the show’s very ’60s style logo that includes hand lettered type and a hip old school radio.

Monfort of Colorado Trucking 1970 T-Shirt
Main Tag:

Description: Kenny Monfort was a Colorado cattleman who wasn’t happy with his options for getting his product to the East Coast, so being the industrious type of fellow that he was, he put together his own trucking operation. Gate to plate was important to Monfort, so he wanted trucks with enough power to make the run in a timely manner. Not concerned with return loads, turning a profit with the trucking operation was not in the equation. Monfort teams ran five-hour shifts, and it’s easy to see why “The Monfort Lane” became a part of the trucking industry’s lexicon for the left lane, as the Monfort “Circus Wagons” were constantly pushing what their trucks could do to make time and blowing the doors off of every other truck on the road.

Harambe Forever in Our Hearts 2016 T-Shirt
Main Tag:

Description: On May 28, 2016, a three-year-old boy climbed into a gorilla enclosure at the Cincinnati Zoo, where he was grabbed by Harambe, a 17-year-old western lowland gorilla. Fearing for the child’s life, a zoo worker shot and killed Harambe. The incident was recorded on video and received broad international coverage and commentary, including controversy over the choice to use lethal force. A number of primatologists and conservationists wrote later that the zoo had no other choice under the circumstances, and that it highlighted the danger of zoo animals near humans and the need for better standards of care.

Chrondek Timing Systems 1963 T-Shirt
Main Tag:

Description: Drag race starting times by the flagman in the early days were not uniformly accurate, so a new timing system could hopefully be developed to correct the problems and ensure a fair race. LaVerne, California-based Chrondek was already working on portable timing systems before this proposal, and began refocusing their efforts to include what is now known as the standard Christmas Tree, which was debuted by Chrondek at the 1963 U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Clyde’s Place 1973 T-Shirt
Main Tag:

Description: Clyde’s Place opened its doors in 1973 and quickly became one of the Inland Empire’s rowdiest night spots. Popular with bikers and those who enjoy the company of bikers, Clyde’s rather rural location and two-acre lot in what was then the outskirts of Riverside provided ample opportunity for rambunctious motorcycle-based entertainment ranging from games of weenie bite to straight-up burnout contests. Of course, all this debauchery wasn’t without its problems. The bar had its share of attention from police, most of which was alcohol-related (duh), but there was also no shortage of violence – mostly fistfights, but also a few stabbings… and some shootings, several of which were fatal.
