Description: On a recent vacation to Gdansk in Poland I took this photograph of waves splashing in the Baltic Sea. This was on a quite windy day at Sobieszewo Beach - which in my opinion is the best beach in Gdansk (it is less touristy and has a more natural feel to it). The photograph is digitally altered a bit to bring out the bright vivid colours.
Description: Czarny Staw Pod Rysami is a mountain lake above Morskie Oko in the Tatra Mountain Range in Poland. Once you walked halfway around Morskie Oko there is a quite steep hiking trail to this beautiful lake - many many rock "steps" later you may want to take a food/picture/rest stop on the lakeshore. After you filled up your energy levels again, walk to the right and hike even more rocky steps until at some point you stop and see this stunning view of Czarny Staw Pod Rysami - well worth every step.
Description: A pretty yellow sunflower that I found in an alley in Gdansk, Poland - as I could not get a clear shot of the sky because of all the buildings in the background, I had to do a composite later on when I came back from my vacation. I think this sunflower looks so beautiful with the sun being reflected on the petals and it being in full bloom - symbolising happiness and being happy with ones life on earth.
Description: I took this photograph at Sopot Beach in Gdansk, Poland. It originally is not such a dark, black and white and sad image. But during the editing process something happened and I ended up with this piece of work - a beautiful yet lonely white swan that is all melancholically pondering about the world while swimming off into the dark ocean. Lost in his thoughts, he feels sad, depressed and alone - swimming even deeper into total darkness, forgetting everything around him, not being able to think straight any more, because that's what depression does to you. There's the next dark wave already waiting to swoop over the pretty white swan. BUT out of frame of the picture there is this other swan! He is already on its way to catch up with it...
Description: A bouquet of red, pink and white flowers with a red rose in the center - perfect as a Happy Birthday greeting card for that special someone. The picture itself was taken by me after I got this beautiful bouquet from my boyfriend as a birthday gift. The flowers smell really nice ;)

Description: Kasprowy Wierch in the Tatra Mountains near Zakopane, Poland, is well worth a visit. You can either hike to the top or take a cable car to nearly the peak. From there you can walk along a rocky pathway further into the Tatra. This photograph here is one of many I took this day - it was quite foggy at first, but cleared here and there, which gives it a wonderful mysterious look. At times you could see the clouds float over the peaks, only to reveal another part of the huge alpine scenery - magical!
Description: Autumn is a magical season when it comes to colourful leaves and trees. I took this picture just outside of the Mont Tremblant YHA in Mont Tremblant, Quebec, Canada in 2016. The whole area is so so beautiful. Every fall colour you can imagine, all assembled together in trees over beautiful colourful trees. Such autumn foliage I have never seen before and was mesmerized by it all and took hundreds, no thousands of pictures :D Oh, this makes me emotional just thinking back to it, the beauty of nature.

Description: A seagull flying high above the sky - a symbol for freedom, a free spirit that seems to know no boundaries. A longing in most people's life - to roam around the world free of all worries, in peaceful harmony with mother nature. The blue color of the sky supporting the meaning of freedom, open spaces and peacefulness as well as giving a sense of calmness and serenity.
Description: A photograph of the surface of the ocean - as the wind sweeps softly over the liquid it creates this abstract pattern. The sun creating sparkles, it felt so relaxing and meditative just watching the fluid transform into new patterns second after second, one slow wave after the other.
Description: A bumblebee is in full work mode - you can see the yellow pollen on its rump. The flower is called an ornamental onion (in German: Zierlauch or Kugellauch), I love the blue color. I took this photograph right next to some train tracks while waiting in the warm summer sun for my next train home - it was a beautiful sight that I wanted to catch on camera for others to enjoy.
