Description: This mutant relies on its hearing to hunt, can gallop & round corners smoothly, and break through obstacles effortlessly. Its trumpet call sounds normal in its crescendo but then as it trails off it sounds distorted and pained, causing an immediate fight or flight response in anyone that's around to hear it.

Description: Warm, fluffy, gooey and spiced - a delicious treat for breakfast or dessert. Cinnamon roll is also a phrase that can describe someone that is too pure and good for this world.

Description: I got caught in a torrential downpour & lightning while hiking a trail in the PNW one afternoon. The ambience of the forest and the lake that day is something I'll never forget.

Description: A juicy beef patty, lettuce, thick cut tomato, red onions, pickles, and chipotle mayo in a toasted black sesame seed bun. When I have the means, these are delicious to make with some black beans mixed in the beef.

Description: One of the places I lived was on farmland property, and had a hilly area on the southwest side with a bunch of new growth Crimson Sentry Maples. This is reminiscent of how it typically looked in early winter.

Description: When I worked in an office in the inner city about a decade ago, I would regularly eat lunch at the Market. One of the meals I couldn't get enough of was this one - it was such a delicious blend of flavors. I've tried to recreate it since.

Description: This was a character I created a while back for a video game I had envisioned creating one day. Caracals are medium cats common in Africa with long legs, a robust build, and a striking face.

Description: This little bird packs a loud, haunting voice. I first discovered it when hiking/camping the PNW. Its calls are ethereal, and made me imagine sci-fi sound effects like ufos & aliens along with various whistles when I heard them.

Description: Dungeness crab are commonly found on the west coast. They prefer cold water and sandy areas, have an interesting purple shell and can be found as deep as 250 metres (820 ft).

Description: Signaling the start of the changing of seasons. A lone leaf - stained with the vibrant colors of fall - lazily floating in a river.

Description: One of the largest toads in North America. They are highly poisonous - especially to pets - though that did not stop some from abusing them in the past.

Description: Symbolic of surviving and overcoming hardships.

Description: This boa can't resist this sweet treat!

Description: One of the most iconic jellyfish. They are agile, can sense small changes in light, their bells can be as large as 3 ft in diameter, and their arms/tentacles can trail as long as 15 ft behind them.

Description: My first home had deer frequenting the backyard (they liked to munch on the daylilies and nap in the woods behind the house during the day). I managed to capture a photo of this doe one evening then illustrated it.

Description: Bold, strong & playful - these are one of my favorite animals. I felt the stippling method complemented its distinct coat.
