Description: “The drop bear (sometimes dropbear), assigned the fictional scientific name Thylarctos plummetus,[1] is a hoax in contemporary Australian folklore featuring a predatory, carnivorous version of the koala (Phascolarctos cinereus). This imaginary animal is commonly spoken about in tall tales designed to scare tourists. While koalas are typically docile herbivores (and are not bears), drop bears are described as unusually large and vicious marsupials that inhabit treetops and attack unsuspecting people (or other prey) that walk beneath them by dropping onto their heads from above.” Thanks To Wikipedia for this info.

Description: Like many of us I feel caught in a surreal situation. The war in the Ukraine is a sad reminder of the ability absolute power and unchecked ego to destroy so much of what we thought we had achieved in our March to a more peaceful future. Hopefully this post will be allowed to stay.

Description: Yugav the Yeti chanced upon the body of a frozen explorer. Not wanting to pollute the mountains with the corpse of yet another intrepid human, he came up with an acceptable solution. The rescue flare gun came in really handy too. :) Just kidding , no humans or animals were harmed in this production.
Description: One of the boys I tutor told me about a game he was playing where penguins use laser weapons. It got my imagination going, so I created this guy with suitable protective clothing and my idea of a laser weapon. The south will now be safe from those who would want to melt his home. I created this image using Apple Pencil and Procreate on an iPad Pro

I started this little guy as a pencil doodle, then worked on it in Procreate on the iPad, finally completing it in Photoshop, where I added background interest and colour.

Description: I emailed Jake Parker of Inktober fame and he was kind enough to reply. I do 95% of my work digitally and so I asked if it would be ok to do the daily sketch digitally on my iPad. He said it would but that if I wanted to challenge myself and improve as an artist I should try to just use traditional media. I drew the concept in pencil then sketch over that. Challenge accepted. Thanks Jake
