Description: We always hear "apples and oranges" as an idiom to describe the quintessential opposites, "oil and water" etc. -- things that don't mix. But maybe we live in a world today where we'd all be a little better off if we could see the similarities where usually we're preoccupied with the differences, and apples and oranges are both fruit, right? With a little perspective we can see the harmony even between seemingly opposite things.
Description: While Wisdom, says Plato, is the ability to make comparisons and draw distinctions, aka to identify similarities and differences, maybe we live in a world where it would be better to see more of the commonalities, to see "apples and oranges," classic "opposites," as both being "fruit." If you zoom out and practice *perspective,* like seeing the Earth from space, then things that have apparent differences seem to harmonize and you can focus better on the commonalities. Therefore, wearing this T-Shirt is an exercise in and reminder about espousing and practicing harmony and perspective.
