Description: San Diego Serenade Acrylic and Collage on Canvas My second entry into my painting series for artwork inspired by the Tom Waits album, The Heart of Saturday Night. San Diego Serenade took me a few months to crack the idea for. I listened to the song on repeat whilst working night shifts until the concept came to me. The lyrics are a list of regrets, things missed now that they're gone and finding new appreciation for those things. Lines like "Never saw my hometown, until I stayed away too long" brought to me the idea of travel, leaving a home or returning to somewhere you once knew. Description: When I first started making some Gothic Western artwork, I sketched out a few rough ideas, this being one of them. Simple in concept, but also just a cool image. Often when I'm designing artwork I try to think of things that I would find cool and if going on apparel that I would wear myself and this design fits into that perfectly. I used heavy washed of ink to create some nice random puddle effects that when dried helped to create some of the skull texture and bring some life to the sky. I used some chalk pastels to help sketch out the sand and create some rough and smooth areas. And lastly I sent the paper on fire to help bring out some more texture and bubble the paint.

Description: A2 Oil on Canvas This painting may be the longest I've worked on any piece. Due to time restraints, other projects and using oil paints this canvas was started in February 2019 and has taken me nearly 3 years to finally complete. At the time, my plan was to produce a series of these still life paintings pairing up alcohol bottles with their appropriate glassware and themes, but so far I've only managed to paint the two, although I must say I'm happy with the two whisky paintings I've done.
Description: New Coat of Paint Acrylic on Canvas This piece is the first in a series of paintings that I will be producing inspired by songs from one of my favourite albums. You can visit my Facebook page for more info on the series, but here I'll explain the concept. The scene plays out a couple stumbling drunk through a city at night. The term of paint the town is used literally here as buildings have been painted into existence behind them with the paint still running wet. All the while as they walk the path that they walk along forms shadows in the spacing of piano keys. Description: Another addition to my series of drinks still life paintings, this one based on the blues song of the same name. For the setup I chose a tumbler glass for the bourbon, a whisky glass for the Scotch and a classic stein glass for the beer, my preferences for drinking each of these. Unlike my previous Scotch paintings, this one was painted solely with Acrylics rather than Oils. The reason for this is firstly I've begun to use airbrush in most of my work now and I use acrylic paints for that, and secondly due to the drying time on these pieces it can usually take my a year or longer to eventually finish one, so I've begun focusing on acrylics for these now.

Description: A2 Acrylic on Canvas I've had this still life painting on my to do list since around 2018, when I first took the reference photo. It was originally planned to be part of a larger set of paintings depicting different drinks served in their appropriate glassware alongside a bottle and within a fitting setting. Now four years later, I finally have this piece finished making it the third in this series of still lifes.
Description: A2 Mixed Media This piece is a combination between my current painting styles, painted posters and ink portraits. I visualized this painting as a piece demonstrating the motions of the nunchaku scene in one of my favourite films. I wanted to create a piece that was almost like a pen and ink sketch drawn over a random painted background and I think the end result turned out quite well.
