Madam Melva

Description: This is my 21st century take on Edvard Munch's The Scream. The sexless victim is tormented and trapped within a lighting orb (an Eye of the Storm) beneath an ironically pleasant sky while workers confined in the skyscrapers are occupied and do not notice. This is an internal and external struggle in a modern world where the future is more bleak and uncertain than ever.

Description: This is one of a series of erotic lava lamps I created by juxtaposing soft pastel with neon marker and black light chalk.

Description: I modelled this off "Saturn Devouring his Son," a gruesome wall mural painted over 200 years ago by Baroque painter Francisco Goya.
