Description: Happy Year of the Dragon! This piece was actually made a while back, 2017 I believe, in celebration of the Dragon Boat races in Portland, OR. However, it also showcases a love I have for the some of the classic Chinese dragon painting styles which inspired it. I used ink and mostly Posca markers to create this large dragon, 16x20" if I recall correctly. The original is owned by my mom, who loved it for reminding her of time spent in Hong Kong.
Description: This drawing is a collaboration with my daughter. She is wildly prolific and I want to support her art in every way that I can. I want to encourage her personally, and help build her talents. Yet, I would like to also provide a sense of her art may affect people out in the greater world. She may one day appreciate making a living from her work, though I hope these first steps provide her some beneficial feedback to keep going.
Description: Brain jellyfish design I had made for a conference(ultimately another design chosen) all about floating in sensory deprivation tanks. This is my interpretation of that feeling and concept. Where is my mind? Way out in the water. See it swimming.

Description: Inspired by Stanley Kubrick's "Lolita", but with the puppy dog eyes of a French Bulldog. This anthropomorphic take on an iconic movie image began as a series depicting food in cinema, but then went a different direction. Nevertheless, the heart-shaped glasses and puppy pop there to draw you in, and then you may fall head over heals for what's behind them.

Description: Kubrick has certainly been an influence on my visual sense, but this is the first time I've explored adapting one of his cinematic icons, based on the original book, A Clockwork Orange. The question I posed to myself is "What animal represents Alex best?" The cat was an obvious choice, both approachable yet an animal that can equally give no f**ks. It can be both worshiped and reviled, and so it fit. This particular image get its origins from the milk bar scene.

Description: This piece was originally a commission based on the request of Red Riding Hood. I wanted to adjust the character to be a bit more badass, self-sufficient, and to possibly pose the question "who is hunting who". Essentially, she can take care of herself.
