Description: Out of their machines, Wells' Martians are basically big heads with tentacle "hands" right next to their fleshy-beak mouths. Which really can't be sanitary -- oh riiiiiiiiiiight. The first version I did looked a lot like an Angry Bird. So I double checked the description, and basically that's them. There's a giant "ear" membrane on the back of the head that may or may not work in Earth's atmosphere, but since they were recorded as partly communicating by sound, it's not a leap to believe that it did.
