Description: Xolotl was an Aztec God of Death, but not THE Aztec god of death. Xolotl helped guide beings to the after life. Often depicted as a dog-headed human hybrid. They disguised themselves as many things, but then decided to jump into a body of water, creating a new amphibian- the Axolotl. This design is a reflection of both transitions, but if you want to know why they're crying- you gotta read some history!
