Description: The Philippines has had a love affair with basketball since its introduction in the early 1900s. In 1936 they recorded a 5th Place finish in their debut Olympic Games. They earned a Bronze Medal in the 1954 International Cup, the best finish by any team outside the Americas and Europe. They have remained competitive in numerous Asian leagues, and are represented in other National leagues around the world.
Description: Puerto Rican (Boricua) anti-fascist activism has historically been intertwined with resistance to colonial rule, authoritarianism, and imperialism. They have survived severe economic hardship and recurring natural disasters, often exacerbated by colonial governance. A strong sense of community thrives on the Island, and throughout all of the United States. Sadly, nearly half of the U.S. population doesn’t even know Puerto Ricans are U.S. citizens, meaning that despite their constitutionally given legal rights as citizens, they have to fight harder for their “American Dream.”

It's an auspicious symbol, often thought to represent peace and tranquility. Another theory is it represents the process of continuously moving forward to reach a state of enlightenment. Like the Triskelion and Triquetra it is associated with the Trinity when adopted in Christian use.

The colors have many meanings, some believe it stands for the skin tones of the different human races. The circular shape can represent the continuous pattern of life and death, or the path of the sun and moon. The segments can represent the stages of life (birth, youth, adult & elder, death), or the Seasons of the year (spring, summer, winter, fall).

The shapes and colors even guide us on our daily commutes. This design uses base colors and weaves the Circle, Star, Triangle, Square, and Pentagon into an interlocking unified sigil.
