Description: This spring, I was fortunate to again come across clusters of magnificent fungi, sprouting from the trunks of a small stand of dead trees. Illuminated by late afternoon sunlight, this stunning, sensuous specimen juts prominently outward, perpendicularly to the tree to which it has attached itself. Its curvy, overhanging lip is beautifully speckled.
