Description: The Pendleton Buckaroos were a minor league baseball team based in Pendleton, Oregon. The Buckaroos were preceded by Pendleton teams that played as members of the Pacific Interstate League in 1891 and Inland Empire League in 1902 and 1908. The Buckaroos were members of the Class D level Western Tri-State League from 1912 to 1914. Pendleton won league championships in 1902 and 1914.
Description: The Cheney Studs were an amateur baseball team based in Tacoma, WA. Formed by Ben Cheney, a Tacoma lumberman, the team consisted of top high school and college prospects from across the Pacific Northwest. In 1963, the Studs went to the America Amateur Baseball Congress World Series.

They were previously named for the indigenous Native American population of the Pacific Northwest and changed their name after being acquired by the Rainier Brewing Company, which was named for nearby Mount Rainier.
