Saint José Sánchez del Río was a 14-year-old Mexican boy martyred during the Cristero War in the 1920s for refusing to renounce his Catholic faith. Despite his youth, he joined the Cristeros, was captured, and endured brutal torture. He remained steadfast, proclaiming "Long live Christ the King!" before being killed in 1928. Canonized in 2016, he is celebrated as a courageous role model for young Catholics. His feast day is February 10.
