My favourite line from The Stepford Wives is absolutely this one. Seeing Glenn Close freaking out is always such fun :)
“Mike, there’s something…
…unspeakable going on
in the ballroom.
You have to come right now,
It’s an apocalypse!”
I like to think that if Frankensteins Bride had been created in today's world she and her husband would have been accepted by society, and embraced for their individuality and their oddness. There would have been no need for their sad demise.
I can see her getting together with her besties a few times a week for the very best coffee in town :)
It seemed like a good plan at the time. They just ran into a few snags along the way :)
I also threw in a little tribute to that other great line from the movie “you’ve got red on you”.

Your towel – Just about the most massively useful thing any interstellar Hitchhiker can carry. Partly it has great practical value. You can wrap it around you for warmth as you bound across the cold moons of Jaglan Beta; you can lie on it on the brilliant marble-sanded beaches of Santraginus V, inhaling the beady sea vapours; wet it for use in hand-to-hand combat; wrap it round your head to ward off noxious fumes or avoid the gaze of the Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal (a mind-bogglingly stupid animal, it assumes that if you can’t see it, it can’t see you — daft as a brush, but very very ravenous); you can wave your towel in emergencies as a distress signal, and of course you can dry yourself off with it if it still seems to be clean enough.

In Greek Mythology Ariadne was the daughter of King Minos of Crete, mostly known for her association with labyrinths and mazes due to her having assisted Theseus in his quest to slay the Minotaur.
She then fled with Theseus aboard his ship. However, when they landed on the island of Naxos, Theseus abandoned her as she was sleeping. It was here that the god Dionysos discovered her and made her his wife.
