Description: Sub-Zero is the name of a fictional character in the Mortal Kombat fighting game franchise by Midway Games and NetherRealm Studios. The franchise's main Sub-Zero made his debut in 1993's Mortal Kombat II, and has used the mantle since then; he is the younger brother of the Sub-Zero from the original 1992 game, who was killed by Scorpion between the events of the game and Mortal Kombat II; Noob Saibot, an undead wraith first introduced in Mortal Kombat II, was later retcon as the original Sub-Zero, having been resurrected by the evil sorcerer Quan Chi. In the reboot continuity started in the 2011 Mortal Kombat game, the original Sub-Zero's birth name is revealed to be Bi-Han, and his younger brother's to be Kuai Liang.
