Description: #7 - Visconteo Castle fencing Raidographs is an alternative photography project that uses cyanotypes to show the beautiful interactions of light and shapes found around the ordinary, but extraordinary, town of Pavia, Italy. Homemade photosensitive paper is placed directly under objects in public areas to "steal" their shadow as a direct negative print. These photograms are reminiscent of Anna Atkins' botanical work and Man Ray's rayographs, compositions with light, shadow, and objects. The results are unique prints that aren't limited to representing the city of Pavia, as most of the photographed objects aren't exclusive to it, but rather try to show the intrinsic beauty that can be found anywhere in shape and light alone.
