I hate to have to name this.
Cold Winter months in New York can affect us all differently. It gets me either up and out or digging around my place for props. Today I decided to avoid the sub freezing temps and shoot around the house. It also happens to be Ansel Adams birthday so in his memory I shot.
A still life shot of the dead flowers I keep at home. The only plant I own that dies in a beautiful way. I regularly put them to work in my still life images. The cigars and books have their place in the image also.
Of course there are more than 2 trees here but year after year this cute couple speaks to me. They stand in a local park and I visit them often. I imagine them to have a wonderful relationship. Taking on the seasons year after year.

From the East River of Manhattan looking out towards Brooklyn. The Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges both span from NYC to Brooklyn. 24 hours a day you can expect traffic on both. This was a particular snowy day and that keeps people in their homes in New York City. Enjoy!

From the edge of New York's East river at the side of the iconic Brooklyn Bridge. Off in the distance and through the falling snow you can make out the Manhattan Bridge. A recent snowy day got me out for a long walk with my camera.
A recent snowy walk beneath New York's iconic Brooklyn Bridge. We were expecting 14" and it had been snowing enough to keep most other New Yorker's indoors. So out into the blizzard I went with my camera.
Countless times a day, week, month and year, people board the Staten Island Ferry. The free trip runs between Manhattan Island and Staten Island takes about 25 minutes. In my opinion it's the best tourist attraction in New York.

New York City Skyline at Night (2022). I shot this while heading away on the Staten Island Ferry. When you next visit or come for the first time make sure you ride the Staten Island Ferry. an absolutely free ride that gives you the very best view of NYC.
New York's iconic Brooklyn Bridge in the snow. There is hardly ever a time where you'll catch the bridge so empty to pedestrian traffic. A snowy Winter day will sometimes make that happen.

Ice Cold Beer, The words alone make you want one. Closed for the Winter but the sign still speaks to some of us. Coney Island boardwalk in the Winter could be pretty desolate. The words on the sign remind us to come back when summer comes.

Winter brings the Wonder Wheel to a halt in Brooklyn New York's iconic Coney Island. The ride is shuttered and the cars removed. Summer will come and the lights and music will return.
The iconic Wonder Wheel in Brooklyn's Coney Island sits shuttered for the cold Winter months. The cars have been removed and placed out of the weather. There's some sadness about the image but it also holds so much hope for the warmer months to come. Enjoy

The last colors of Autumn exploded here last week. I happened upon this and shot it for myself. I'm happy to see that it resonated with a lot of my followers.
Punk ain't Dead! Thank goodness. I was so happy to see this young person at a recent show. Express yourself damnit! The punk scene allows self expression. Enjoy!
