Description: I discovered this fairytale rainbow, proudly emblazoned in the sky above the Oder, in the enchanting, wild Oderbruch in the small village of Zollbrücke. The Oderbruch is located in the Brandenburg region of Märkisch-Oderland, close to the Polish border. After a sudden, heavy downpour, the winter sky over the waters of the River Oder showed itself in its most magnificent colours in the form of two rainbows. The rural, tranquil water scene appears mysterious and slightly surreal. The combination of the dramatic cloudy sky together with the bare tree trunks of the willows on the banks of the river and, to top it all off, a double rainbow lend this East German nature motif a mystical atmosphere.
