Finally, I can get to work on commissions! :D
This time around, I got to draw Ivan from Camelot's classic role-playing game, Golden Sun.
For some background on this piece, it started out as a traditional sketch, then I went to SAI and continued from there with lineart and color. This is perhaps my most detailed work yet, with a lot of effort placed into the coloring process.
So, I spent about 4 hours messing around on the tablet, doing some practice sketches.
Then I remember stumbling upon a peculiar trailer for this “third-person Metroidvania-style action puzzle game with platforming and shooting mechanics” featuring quite the… voluptuous character.
The game? Haydee.
Of course, with me being booty with anatomy for the time being (still trying to learn!), I used ss2sonic's Haydee interpretation as a reference to do a lot of practice - forms, color, and shading.
It’s not very clean, but it’s the first good looking butt I’ve drawn in my life, so there’s that.
The new motto for my senior year: "Nothing can happen till you swing the bat." - Haruko Haruhara (FLCL)
Obviously, you can tell I've been on a Fooly Cooly kick as of late, so I felt it was absolutely necessary to motivate myself with that show.
Senior year's gonna be the toughest period of my life, no doubt about it. If I mess up, my life is practically over. But I also can't play it extremely safe, so I need to take necessary risks. This piece itself is a risk, as it was highly experimental.
Nothing will happen unless I make it, so that's what I'm rolling with.
After taking such a long time to get myself psyched up to draw, I finally get to churn out a new drawing!
Here are the Crystal Temps: Connie, Peridot, Lapis Lazuli, and Pumpkin!
(You can also get them as separate stickers!)
Princess Carolyn truly is something special. She works super-hard, loves her job, and always lands on her feet.
I've always enjoyed her screen time, and honestly, I want the best for her.
It's a pity managing BoJack Horseman, but she does it anyway.
Back in the 90's, this guy was a household name.
Of course nowadays, he's the scum of the earth. For multiple reasons.
Just go watch BoJack Horseman, it is a fantastic show that'll make you laugh and feel at the same time, probably.
Perhaps one of the sweetest little shows I’ve seen this year, Uchuu Patrol Luluco was a trip throughout its run in the spring anime lineup.
Jab it with doses of absolute madness from Studio Trigger, and it’s a pretty awesome short anime.
Enjoy the pairing of Luluco and Alpha Omega Nova!
I’ve been meaning to draw this character for a really long time, and at long last, I finally did!
I haven’t watched a lot of it, but Star vs. The Forces of Evil has a certain style to it that I really adore.
