Description: The SWIFT PARROT (lathamus discolor) is one of the few truly migratory parrots in the world and is CRITICALLY ENDANGERED due to severe deforestation including 23% of habitat recently logged in Tasmania, and the introduction of the Sugar Glider to Tasmania has added to the threat. The glider establishes itself in the bird's nesting hollows. These beautiful birds breed in Tasmania in summer, migrate to south-eastern mainland in winter and feed off Blue Gum Eucalypt blossoms.

Description: The magnificent WANDERING ALBATROSS is listed as VULNERABLE. It mates for life & can live to over 50 yrs old returning to Sth Macquarie Island to breed. It has the largest wingspan of any bird from 2.5 to 3.5 meters. I have hand drawn the design with pen and ink using a metal nib and bottled ink.
