The scenery around us were just so incredible and calming. I remember wishing to just freeze the time for a brief moment to enjoy it for a little longer.

Description: The grim reality of our nation is that government policies relating to Indigenous peoples have failed for generations, upon generations. The land rights, violence against women and young girls, the disproportionate level of arrests, limited access to housing, education, water and child protection… The list goes on. This is a human rights crisis in a first world country. The unprecedented amount of grief that was caused by our government to the Indigenous peoples is not something we can ever fully understand.
