Since Roosevelt was re-elected 3 times (1936, 1940, 1944) for President of the United States, I'm not exactly sure which campaign this button was for, but I suspect it is from the 1940 campaign. The 1940 campaign was special because it was the first time that a President ran for a third term.
Description: The Hotel Cecil in Los Angeles, had several nicknames throughout its history: The Cecil, Horror Hotel, Hotel Death, & The Suicide. The hotel has a checkered history, with numerous murders, suicides, unexplained paranormal events and at least two serial killers ( Richard Ramirez, nicknamed the "Night Stalker" and Jack Unterweger) are known to have stayed there as guests. The hotel was renamed Stay On Main as an effort to distance the establishment from its dark past.
