Description: Darius the Great king of the Achaemenid Empire went to war against the Scythians. Darius crossed Bosphorus Straits neer the Black Sea on a bridge of boats and conquered large portions of Eastern Europe, even crossing the Danube to wage war on the Scythians. In this area he fought the tribe of The immortal Getae. The Getae were a Thracian tribe that inhabited the regions the Lower Danube, in what is today Bulgaria and Romania.
