Street Hawkers were common at every neighborhood. I used to shop from hawkers on footbridge next to my house. Games were cheaper than at stores.
I have so many good memories about holidays. My family is huge, so I always have many full house holidays in my childhood. The kitchen was based on my late gramma house, but it was a typical poor house in many brazilian country side cities.

When I was kid, kids played a game called Bets, a kind of street's beisebal. The fun part was when the ball flew away... Usually falling into some house, or some river depends on where we were playing.
Back to the childhood memories.
Until the 2000s was common at the brazilian ghettos or whatever downhill, kids go down streets on soapbox cars. The kids were wild, sometimes going down in 3 or more on the same car.
Most of kids used to play in game houses when I was kid. We rent hours, choose a game and play like arcades.
Everybody had a angry friend that hated to lose.
Video games were too expensive in the early 90s in Brazil, so many kids had an Atari 2600/Dactar or the pirate versions of NES. I used to play on a 60s tv Colorado. I grow up thinking the Atari games were originaly B&W.
