Description: Scraperboard (scratchboard) illustration of Glastonbury Tor, a hill in Somerset, UK, with a rich pagan and Christian history. The tower on the top is the remains of the 14th century church of St Michael. This place has been variously associated with King Arthur, Jesus, the Holy Grail and Celtic myths of an underworld. It inspired Blake's hymn 'Jerusalem'. The last Abbot of Glastonbury Abbey, Richard Whiting, was hung, drawn and quartered here along with two of his monks in 1539.
