Description: Maneki Neko is associated with good luck and fortune. When you choose your tee consider color. The following colors will help specialize your Maneki Neko. White is for good luck and overall good fortune. Black is to ward off evil. Red is for good health. Yellow is for wealth. Pink is for romance.

Description: Kotobuki is considered very good luck. During the Edo period in Japan wood block prints of its image were a popular gift. Just a picture of Kotobuki was thought to be protection from sickness and disease. This very auspicious chimera is composed of all 12 of the animals of the Asian astrology zodiac; Rat head, rabbit ears, ox horns, rooster comb, goat beard, horse mane, dragon neck, boar back, tiger belly and shoulders, monkey front legs, dog rear legs, and tail of snake.

Description: Before there was Amabie, that popular epidemic repelling prophetic Yokai, there was Amabiko! Very popular in Japan's Edo period. Described as a long haired, three legged ape who lives in the sea, Amabiko emerges to deliver this message "There will a period of bountiful harvest, followed by a period of disaster and disease. You must copy my image to use as protection against disease."

At the time Amabie said “If an epidemic occurs, draw a picture of me and show it to everyone.” A tee shirt seems the perfect vehicle for this! Amabie is described as a mermaid-like creature with long hair, a beak and 3 legs. Amabie is categorized as a yokai in the Japanese mythical tradition. This is my interpretation of Amabie, she looks good with a plague doctor's mask!

Description: Often appearing in my drawings of Amabie are these two hybrid creatures which appeared to me in a dream. They cry a lot, but don't be distressed. Tears have anti-biotic and anti viral properties. They cry so you don't need to.
