In the 1930s and 1940s a number of films were produced containing hysterical anti-marijuana propaganda. The message of these melodramatic films was clear – the ‘devil’s herb’ transforms people into violent and sexually uninhibited monsters

My film poster for The Third Man is my tribute to one of the greatest films of all time, and my very favorite film noir. From the eerie, unique zither music soundtrack to the striking cinematography to the beautiful Vienna, Austria setting to the brilliant writing and directing to the exceptional acting, The Third Man is, quite simply, a perfect film. And Orson Welles was a big part of this perfection.

Pickle Bill's Bar-B-Q opened its doors in 1941 at 2712 Pico Blvd in Santa Monica. From the sawdust-covered floors to the giant pickle on the restaurant's marquee, Pickle Bill's truly was 'soooo different' from every other establishment at the time. It offered a true roadhouse experience right in town that managed to do the impossible by attracting raucous crowds and families alike. Of course, it wasn't just the experience that drew them in - it was the food. Aside from all kinds of barbeque, Pickle Bill's menu included steaks, seafood, and their famous French dip sandwiches.

WWII leaflet dropped on Japanese occupied Philippines warning the population that the Allied invasion will begin soon. The reverse of the leaflet had instructions for the Filipinos to stay away from all Japanese held positions and to move as far inland as possible. The design is available in white or deep blue. Such an honor! A glimpse of this Hot Rod was captured in Murphysboro, IL during a evening car show. The image is compiled of two photos the background and then the car with some blurring in some areas for sense of motion. Color saturation was increased for more effect.

As post-war America began hot rodding and drag racing, Richard Lockerman founded Lockerman's Porting Service in Long Beach, California. Lockerman started out focusing on flathead V8s, but went on to offer his exquisite port and polish services on any heads that were brought in. In addition to one offs for local hot rodders, Lockerman did all of the port work for TRACO - the largest, and most respected race engine builder for elite competitors of various racing series throughout the '60s and '70s. Even as technology advanced, Lockerman continued doing his thing in his machine shop that remained a time capsule from the '40s, well into the '70s, and that's exactly how he wanted it... old school until the very end.
