Description: ''Little Wynn was a rescued baby pigeon that unfortunately did not live long. He was rescued from a breeder who did not take good care of his birds. This poor sweetheart 's death was due to the deplorable conditions he’d been kept in for the first couple of weeks of his short life. He was underdeveloped and malnourished, I think his immune system was very weak. He was kept like this because his previous owner sees pigeons as commodities, something to breed and show off but not really care about. He wasn’t with me long but he made a big impact. He liked to nestle into my cupped hand and half close his eye so he could watch me. He was very vocal with the cutest little squeak.'' Lee lives in Southampton, UK.
Description: ''During winter, pigeons would find shelter on my balcony, nest and lay eggs... It was minus 17 degrees Celsius and I was afraid that the babies would die, but they survived with my help of food, water, etc…I became interested in helping them and I love them. We have an association here called Gruszenik, which helps pigeons and people send them sick pigeons from all over Poland. I support them financially. I can’t help everyone on my own. Sometimes it's hard to catch them.” Roman continues to devote time in helping pigeons and support the Gruszenik Polish pigeon rescue organization besides saving pigeons in need of help. He lives in the town of Chorzów, and being a pianist himself, he loves Chopin.

Description: ''Bear was a tiny, precious soul who was still a squeaker when he came into my care. The first day he arrived, he looked at me with his big eyes and squeaked and my heart melted. He had a horribly shattered wing and PMV. He spent most of the time upside down in the beginning because of the PMV but anytime someone would cuddle him, he stayed upright and would slow blink at you. As the days passed, he got stronger, sitting upright and even preening my fingers. I only got to be a part of his life for 2 weeks before he passed but he made everything brighter. He was fiesty and refused to allow the virus to knock him down. Bear’s legacy will live on.” (Washington DC)
