He had a horribly shattered wing and PMV. He spent most of the time upside down in the beginning because of the PMV but anytime someone would cuddle him, he stayed upright and would slow blink at you. As the days passed, he got stronger, sitting upright and even preening my fingers. I only got to be a part of his life for 2 weeks before he passed but he made everything brighter. He was fiesty and refused to allow the virus to knock him down. Bear’s legacy will live on.” (Washington DC)

Description: One day walking through our local town centre, I spotted a pigeon, his flight feathers had been cut off with scissors... This bird would be our Cyndaquil. After we brought Cynda home, he quickly grew his wings back and paired up with Peanut. He is sweet to Peanut and a proficient nest builder. When he is off the nest, he likes to defend his territory, including the nest box meant for his sister, the main shared food bowl, some of the nicest perches, and the entire aviary floor. He does not appreciate humans and often glares at me like I’m the one causing trouble! But he is safe with us.” Cyndaquil and Peanut live with their human parents in Monmouthshire (Wales)
