There was a time when smoking was allowed in public venues, and every restaurant provided matchbooks to customers as built in advertising. Thank Goodness that changed! However, looking at the matchbook art on this collection may bring back some fond memories of good meals and fun times with friends in some old Toronto restaurants.

Take a step back in time and revisit the famous Steak Pit Restaurant that so many used to frequent on Avenue Rd. in mid-town Toronto. Can't you still smell those homemade ribs and taste their fresh salads? Family memories were made here. The Restaurant closed in 2016.
